Blame it on Me

AtlasImage via Wikipedia

I’ll carry the blame, I’ll take the scorn
With my head held high and my crown of thorns
You expected something that was the opposite of me
Im low right now, but at the top I could be
I’ll take the blame I’ll follow suit
But if im not on twitter who gone follow you
You can try to get rid of me as much as you might
But once I’m gone no one will show you the light
I advise of you, no im begging you please
Don’t try to get me kicked out for blowing on trees
I smoke my weed, and I stay fly
Its cuz of the problems on the ground that I try to get high
Maybe if you cared enough about me to listen
You’d know this shining star is just waiting to glisten
Im tryna find some others, to make a constellation
But I keep on getting side tracked with idle conversation
I do nothing more than nothing but its still my fault
The only difference between me and you, is I got caught
Not Caught in the Action rather Caught in Crossfire
Lookin for someone to blame it on, I guess im for hire
Not the price I paid, but the receipt was for me
I don’t know what you heard but freedom isn’t free
I can’t find freedom, the right to live my life
Cuz I get lied on morning noon and night
I ask the people who’s been lying on me
But I can’t even trust my own eyes to see
Don’t trust anyone, watch my own back
Born at a disadvantage when I was born black
But im not ashamed I’ll carry this blame
As sure as everyday I carry my name
Might as well put my problems on my back
It seems lik the rest of the world already has
So it’s fine I’ll take the blame
But when I’m gone, just remember my name
